Positive: Very good equipped apartment with nice snacks. Lovely very helpful host, great outdoor area, my son loved to play there. The host went out of his way to send me my forgotten electric tooth brush to Palermo. 10min to the beaches. Lovely drive. Bonus: I could use the washing mashine.

Positive: This property exceeded our expectations and we wished we could have stayed here for longer. It's such great value for money. We forgot to let Gabriele know what time we were arriving so he took a few mins to come down to the property to show us around. By the time Gabriele arrived, one of his neighbours stopped by and picked fresh fruit from the garden for us to eat whilst we waited. They provide a lot of free food and drinks at the property, like an amazing mini bar but completely free. The outdoor space and the view are amazing. It's a really quiet mountainous area. They recommended a nearby restaurant called Trattoria Sottocastello and although it looked really basic, it was the best food we've had on Sicily yet. Parking is really easy, opposite the property on a really quiet street. There's a balcony and an outdoor sitting area. There's a pizza oven and a BBQ in the garden, a lime tree, plus grapes and prickly pears growing around the garden. Overall, it was amazing value for money, in a beautiful, remote and peaceful location with a very generous host (Gabriele doesn't live there, you have the entire property to yourselves). If you stayed in a town or city you'd probably pay €40 more for somewhere worse.
Negative: There are no criticisms, this was our 4th accommodation on Sicily and by far the best. We wished we'd booked to stay here longer. The only things I can think of to criticise is if you're not a confident driver then the twisty roads might be challenging but we had no problems whatsoever. Plus, it's a little far from the big nearby places like Messina and Milazzo but again, we had no problem getting an early morning boat from Milazzo.

Positive: Location is nice and quiet. There was room at front porch for my motorcycle, and best of all - there was food included in price so I got to cook some pasta, have a croissant, and some toast with cream, along with a beverage, which meant a lot after the whole day of travel, as I didn't have to come out at cold night (mid-January) in search for an open restaurant. Very friendly owners, great value for money, air heater in bathroom, hairdryer, shampoos.. everything you would expect, and definitely more than you might find in some accomodations. Clean 10/10 from me.

Positive: Beautiful property, lovely terrace / garden to sit in. The owner provided a stocked fridge and snacks cakes etc, even some things for cooking. Very friendly people and helpful. Highly recommended. You need your own transport to stay here but it's a very peaceful place up in the hills.
